Betty in Me. was wondering if you would serve a molded
salad, such as the
Creamy Orange Fluff Salad, that I
submitted to the newsletter, as
part of the meal, or for a dessert. You could do both, but I
usually just have them on the table with the main meal.
Pat-il was asking about a
rhubarb cake dessert, which sounds like the
one I sent into the newsletter recently called Rhubarb Lush
Dessert, so I hope this is what she was asking for? It is
definitely a keeper!
Rhubarb Lush Dessert
yellow cake mix (regular size)
1 (scant) cup sugar
4-1/2 cups cut up rhubarb
1 pint real whipping cream (2 cups)
Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Prepare cake mix as directed on
the package. Pour into pan. Mix sugar and rhubarb and put
over the top of unbaked cake batter in pan. Shake (do NOT
whip!) the whipping cream and pour evenly over the mixture
in the pan. Do NOT mix in. Bake at 350º for 1 hour, or till
done. Serve with whipped cream, but it's not necessary, as
is yummy just the way it is
