Peach Cobbler

Nancy, the easiest peach cobble recipe I've ever used is so simple and yet so good. Here's the recipe.

Take 5 slices of white bread. Cut off the crust. Cut each slice into 5 fingers. Drain a lge. can of sliced peaches. Pour peaches in bottom of 8x8 baking dish. Lay fingers of bread over top of peaches, like a solid crust.

Melt a stick of margarine in microwave, add 11/2 cups sugar,2 tablespoons flour, and 1 egg. Beat with wire whisk until well blended. Pour over bread and peaches, making sure to coat each piece of bread. Bake @ 350 til golden brown. It makes a solid crust that is crunchy and delicious. You can't tell it's bread. You can also use fresh peaches. It's even better. Just peel and slice what would be equivalent to a lge. can of peaches. Try it Nancy. It is delicious. Usually done in 30-35 minutes.
