Party Salad
1 pkg. (6 oz.) raspberry Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
1/2 pint whipping cream
2 pkgs. (3 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 bananas, mashed
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Chill until almost set.
Whip cream together with cream cheese. Whip Jell-O when
thickened. Add drained pineapple, nuts (if using),
mayonnaise and bananas. Fold in the whipped cream mixture.
Put into 9 x 13 inch dish. Chill till firm. Note: Could
probably used 8 oz. tub whipped topping in place of the real
whipping cream, but I haven't done that. I also prefer it
without the nuts.
This is so delicious, and could be served as a dessert also.
