A quick and easy version of the German Chocolate Cake, but not as much work, except the filling is the very same, but it's much better than the mix for the same cake, and has a light chocolate flavor. This would be a great cake for a special man in your life for Father's Day.

German Chocolate Cake

1 box (18 oz.) white cake mix
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1 pkg. (4 serving size) instant chocolate pudding
1/4 cup cooking oil
2 tbsp. flour

Mix all ingredients together for 3 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer. Put into 3 greased/floured layer pans (I used 8") and bake at 350º for about 25 to 30 minutes, or till tests done, when stick a toothpick in the middle of the layers. Remove after 15 minutes and cool
thoroughly.

Frosting:
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/3 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

Put first 4 ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring, until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla, coconut  and nuts. Beat until thick and spread between layers and on top of the cake.
