Barb - La Porte, IN and Nancy, this isn't the fried cabbage recipe you are looking for, but this is one I make with fresh red cabbage and serve with my Rouladen. It is so good!

Fried Red Cabbage

1//2 head red cabbage, sliced fine
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 granny smith apple, sliced finely
1 bay leaf
2 - 3 tbl. olive oil
1 - 2 tbl. red wine vinegar
Stir fry all ingredients except the vinegar till cabbage is soft. Add the vinegar. Heat through. You may serve this hot or cold. Listed under Veggies on Nancy's message board. Chris in NM

Also, if you put fried cabbage in the search area you can come up with quite a few different ones. http://www.google.com/cse?cx=partner-pub-3915071788666950%3Avpoe8ykcmui&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=fried+cabbage Perhaps this one is close?
