These are so good there are never any leftovers.
Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls
Dough (proof 5 minutes)
1/4 c warm water
1 package yeast
1 tsp sugar
Mix proofed yeast mixture w/:
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
4 Tbs butter, soft
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups flour (in 3 stages)
Let rise 2 hrs.
Roll out into rectangle and spread w/filling.
Filling:
6 Tbs butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts
Roll up jelly roll style and cut about 2" wide and
place side by side in a round cake pan. Let rise
another 1 hour.
Bake 350 oven about 20-30 minutes depending on your oven.
Remove from oven and cool. Frost.
Frosting
Mix :
4 oz cream cheese, soft
2 Tbs butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 Tbs milk
Drizzle on room temp rolls. Enjoy!
