Marinated Pork Tenderloins
2 Pork Tenderloins (about 1 to 1 1/4 lb each)
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Bourbon (I used 1/4 cup)
Season the tenderloins with the salt and black pepper to
taste. Place the seasoned pork tenderloins in a zip-lock or
other sealable plastic
bag. Combine the brown sugar, soy sauce and bourbon and pour
over the tenderloins. Allow the marinade to work for 2 to 8
hours, turning the bag a few times to make sure the marinade
gets to all surfaces of the meat. Heat a grill to medium
hot. Remove the tenderloins from the marinade, discarding
the marinade and place the meat on the grill. Grill for 10
to 12 minutes, turning the meat to brown/lightly char on all
sides. Wrap the tenderloins individually in aluminum foil
and continue to cook for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until
the meat is well cooked.
If you like your meat a little less cooked, cook for a
shorter time.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
Cook's Note: Cooking experts say that it is no longer
necessary to cook pork to 'well done' to be safe, so if you
like your pork a little pink, so be it.
