Pizza Meatloaf
1 egg
1 (10 oz.) pizza sauce (1 1/4 c.)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. corn flakes
2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 (4 oz.) can (2/3 c.) mushroom stems
and pieces, drained
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (4 slices) natural
Mozzarella cheese
Place egg, pizza sauce, salt and corn
flakes in large bowl, beat until
thoroughly combined. Add ground beef,
onions and mushrooms, mix lightly, but
thoroughly. Press half of meat mixture
evenly in bottom of ungreased 9 x 9 x
2-inch baking pan. Place 2 slices of
cheese over meat mixture. Press
remaining meat mixture evenly over
cheese. Bake 250 degrees oven about 1
hour or until meat begins to shrink
slightly from sides of pan.
When meat loaf is done, place remaining
cheese (cut in strips) on top of meat
loaf. Return to oven about 3 minutes
until cheese strips are slightly melted.
