Candy Bar Brownies
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick oleo or butter
Dash of salt
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts
6 Heath bars, chopped
Blend sugar, flour, and oleo as for pie dough. Reserve 1 cup
mixture for topping. To remaining crumbs, add salt, egg,
buttermilk, and soda mixed; add vanilla. Mix well. Pour into
well greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Add nuts and chopped Heath
bars to reserved 1 cup topping mixture. Spread on top of
batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Serve warm.
Makes 1 dozen.
