Liz was looking for a recipe for
Spatini Spaghetti Sauce that was for
a smaller amount.
Family Size Spatini Recipe
1-15oz can tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
2 TBS + 2 tsp. Spatini Seasoning
1-pound ground beef, ground chicken or ground turkey
1/2 cup diced onion
1-4oz can sliced mushrooms
1. In a lightly oiled 2 qt. saucepan, cook onion and
mushrooms for 2-3 minutes, until onions are translucent.
2. Add meat. Cook stirring occasionally, until browned.
Break up meat using spatula , into tiny pieces.
3. Add Spatini Seasoning, tomato sauce and water. Stir well.
Simmer uncovered for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve with favorite pasta, fresh parmesan cheese and garlic
bread.
NOTE For fans of the Spatini Spaghetti Sauce that you no
longer can find on the grocery shelf, you can purchase it at
www.spiceplace.com. It comes in a 15oz package, but with
instructions on how to make smaller amounts.
