I agree, Dixie in AL, asking about the Berry Cobbler instructions in the 1/8/10 newsletter. It does sound good and I would like to make it, too!

This is a great berry cobbler that is very similar to one I make. It also sounds like the one PeggyNELA submitted in the 1/8/10 newsletter! I found it under Cobbler just to the left of each newsletter.

Berry Cobbler

3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash salt (optional)
3 tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 c. fresh raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries, cut up fruit
1/3 c. orange juice or water
3 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Stir together flour, baking powder, and, if desired, salt; set aside. In a small mixing bowl beat margarine with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add the 1/4 cup sugar; beat until combined. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating after reach addition. Spread dough evenly in the 1 3/4 quart casserole. Stir together berries, juice, the remaining 3 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Pour over dough. Cook, uncovered, on 100% power (high) for 7 to 9 minutes or until berry mixture is bubbly and cake springs back when lightly touched.
Makes about 6 servings.
