For Phyllis C from KY regarding a recipe for oyster casserole. This is a TNT recipe and I make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas for our holiday dinner.

Perfect Oyster Casserole

1 pint oysters ( drain and save liquor)
2 cups crumbled saltine crackers
1/2 cup melted butter OR margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash black pepper
3/4 cup half and half ( I have used Carnation evaporated milk with good results)
1/4 cup liquor ( from the oysters)
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Drain oysters, saving liquor. Combine crumbs, margarine, salt and pepper; spread 1/3 of the buttered crumbs in a greased pan or casserole dish. Cover with half the oysters. Use 1/3 more crumbs and cover oysters. Cover with remaining oysters; combine other ingredients and pour over oysters; top with remaining crumbs. Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Serves 4-6
